You might wonder, if God is with us, why do bad things keep happening? Is it some form of punishment for our sins that He abandons us to suffer? God’s love is unconditional, which has been evident throughout the holy scriptures. At various times in the Bible, God’s Word promises He will not leave or forsake us.
Though we may sometimes feel at some point in our lives that He is distant, the truth is that He is always with us. God’s absence during our trying times is when our faith is tested. And it is at such times that our most significant growth will transpire. Like a blacksmith constantly pounding a block of iron to get the proper shape and form, God is with us and is producing a masterpiece that could stand the test of time.
What Does It Mean That God Is Always With You?
God is always with you because God is omnipresent. This indicates He is present in whatever you do and wherever you go, even if you don’t think or feel so. We cannot escape His presence, no matter what we do. We may not be able to see Him, but God is present with us through the Holy Spirit, who lives inside us and will not abandon us.
The Lord God is with you at all times, guiding and safeguarding you from the evil that threatens you. When we love someone, we keep them in our hearts and get the feeling that they are always with us. If you truly love God, you will undoubtedly sense His presence.
How Can You Be Sure That God Is With You?
You can be sure that God is with you because He made our bodies the Holy Spirit’s dwelling place and a holy nation. In 1 Corinthians 6:19–20, it is revealed that our body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, whom the Almighty has bestowed upon us. God is within every one of us. Neither death nor life is able to separate us from Him.
Jesus Christ died for our sins and ascended to heaven, but He never abandoned us. As John 14:16–17 states, Christ promised His followers that He would ask the Father for a helper to guide them forever in His stead. When your prayers are not answered, remember that it is because the Lord, your God, has bigger plans for you so you can be the person you ought to be, not because He has abandoned you.
