God Will Make A Way: Scripture Study

God will make a way, even when it appears that none exists. The Bible tells us that the people of Israel were delivered from Egypt by the mighty hand of God, and, despite their persistent disobedience, He granted them victory after victory for His name’s sake.

God said in Isaiah 43:18-19, “Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”

God will be our God forever. The Bible tells us in Hebrews 13:8, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” That means the God we have today is the same God who made Egypt tremble in fear and split the Red Sea in the Old Testament.

Which Scripture Say That God Will Make A Way?

There are a lot of Bible verses that point out God as a way maker and a miracle worker. We cannot live out this reality if we use our own strength and knowledge. The Book of Proverbs 3:5–6 encourages us to “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” God makes way for those who trust Him without reservations.

An example of God making a way out of nowhere can be read in Exodus 14:21–22: “Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night and made the sea into dry land, and the waters were divided.” This demonstrates that even the mighty waters submit to God.

Another promise of God is in Isaiah 42:16: “And I will bring the blind by a way that they did not know; I will lead them in paths that they have not known; I will make darkness light before them and crooked things straight; these things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.” It is lovely to think of God as a shepherd who protects His flock by making crooked places straight.

How Does God Make A Way When There Is No Way?

Simple: He is the way. “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls” (Matthew 11:28–29). This Bible verse is an invitation from the one and only Jesus.

Everyone who received a miracle from Jesus had one thing in common: they all approached Him personally. It is critical to understand that as followers of Jesus, we have a home or a position. With this position comes rest and healing, but first we have to say yes to His invitation. There is no alternative because He is the way—the kind of way that brings peace to the soul. His Holy Spirit refreshes and renews the burdened and the weary.

Jesus said in John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” In following Him, we are released from the slavery of our sins, and by “taking His yoke,” one pledges allegiance to God and being under His protection and love.

How Is God A Way Maker?

He Is The Light Of The World

In John 8:12, Jesus said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but have the light of life.” Moreover, John 1:5 also mentions that “the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”

He Is The Shepherd Of His People

Psalm 23:1–3 boldly declares, “The LORD is my shepherd. I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters; He refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for the sake of His name.”

Green pastures signify the freshness of God’s word available for those who want to be partakers in Christ. The scriptures in the Bible are eternal, for heaven and the world may fade away, but never His words.

In Hebrew, “still waters” means restful waters or refreshments. Our great shepherd desires to lead His flocks to a place where they can renew their strength and where He can minister to their needs. John wrote in Revelation, “The angel showed me a river that was crystal clear, and its waters gave life” (Revelation 22:1).

The entire chapter of Psalm 23 says it all. It’s reassuring to know that God is more than willing to be the shepherd of His people. He won’t even let one of the ninety-nine sheep go missing. It means that every individual’s life is as important to God as the entire world’s population.

8 Uplifting And Encouraging Bible Verses About God Will Make A Way

In Matthew 4:4, Jesus says, “People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.” As humans, we are tripartite beings—body, soul, and spirit. We should not only be concerned about what our body needs but also consider the sustenance of what’s within. Knowing God without understanding the Bible would lead to erroneous beliefs. Therefore, His nature can be genuinely comprehended once we look through the following verses.

Do not be afraid. Stand firm, and you will see the LORD’s salvation, which He will accomplish for you today; for the Egyptians you see today, you will never see them again. – Romans 8:28

And we know that all things work together for the good of those who love God and those who are called according to His purpose

 . – Romans 8:28

You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand. – Psalm 16:11

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand – Isaiah 41:10

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, for God has said: “Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you. – Hebrews 13:5

The path of the righteous is level; you clear a straight path for the upright. – Isaiah 26:7

No temptation[1] has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation, he will also provide a way of escape, so that you may be able to endure it. – 1 Corinthians 10:13

Conclusion

Don Moen is a celebrated Christian singer and songwriter who wrote the song “God will make a way,” one of the most inspirational and faith-uplifting songs ever produced.

A line from the lyrics goes like this: “God will make a way where there seems to be no way. He works in ways we cannot see. He will make a way for me; He will be my guide. Hold me closely to His side. With love and strength for each new day, He will make a way. He will make a way.”

Sometimes, God seems silent and absent, but the truth is that He is just working behind the scenes. All we need to do is trust God and seek His presence continually, and surely He will do something great today.
